NGHS Robotics competed at a district qualifying event in Dalton this weekend and took first place in a three team alliance. These competitions involve qualification rounds that run from Friday morning till midday Saturday followed by elimination rounds Saturday afternoon. The elimination rounds are made up of 3 team alliances facing each other in a double elimination format. Our team had its struggles throughout the event but our Pit crews worked very hard between matches to resolve mechanical and other technical challenges to make it to the elimination rounds. The winning alliance had to go to tiebreakers in the semi-final and final rounds and set scoring records. Our team did its best during the elimination rounds and we are so very proud of them.
The thing that makes this very special is that our robot was completely designed and built by the students.
